The Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP) is set to wind down soon according to the recent notification from the FCC as new ACP enrollments were frozen completely on February 8, 2024.ACP pays its full benefit only until April 30, 2024, with a partial benefit in May.  AirTalk Wireless will provide you with your full-service plan in May regardless of the level of the ACP benefit. You also can opt out of your AirTalk service at any time. 

Keep calm, Lifeline benefits are still available!

What is happening with ACP?

Due to the decrease in funding from Congress, the FCC anticipates that the current funding for the ACP program is projected to run out at the end of April 2024.

What causes transfer out?

  • Benefit is limited to one per household. Meaning that it cannot be used for both home internet and phone service, or multiple people cannot all sign up for the same benefit at the same address.  
  • Registering or applying with multiple providers simultaneously may result in your benefits being transferred from one provider to another. It is advisable to register with one provider at a time and wait for a response before attempting to apply with a different provider. 
  • If you receive a notice from AirTalk stating your benefit was transferred out and you did not authorize this: 
    • Sign the transfer agreement right away to avoid interruption to service 
    • Contact the ACP support center and report that your benefit was moved to an unknown provider without your consent. 

How to prevent future unauthorized transfer out ?

  • AirTalk Wireless does not employ field agents outside of our store locations. Store Locator (airtalkwireless.com) 
  • When presented with an offer for a free phone/service be aware of what you are signing up for and who you are signing up with as this could affect your service with Airtalk 
  • If you receive a notice from AirTalk stating your benefit was transferred out and you did not authorize this:
    • Sign the transfer agreement right away to avoid interruption to service 
    • Contact the ACP support center and report that your benefit was moved to an unknown provider without your consent.  

Risks if you transfer out  

  • You can lose your ACP benefits 
  • We might NOT be able to Transfer you back into AirTalk Wireless 
  • You will lose your service benefits (unlimited talk, reduce data monthly allowance) 
  • You will lose your mobile phone number and we will not be able to recover it.

        It’s kinda hard to call when my phone wont let me call out. It wont let me recieve calls either. It’s been 2 weeks now. I’ve put in request after request for help too.

  3. My phone broke so I bought another phone and put my SIM card in it and for some reason I don’t have internet what so ever. I can make calls and text but no internet.

      For pre-orders, our procedure involves initially dispatching the SIM card, allowing you to commence utilizing our service with your unlocked device. Subsequently, we aim to fulfill your device order and dispatch it within 2 to 3 weeks following the receipt of your SIM card.

  4. I just received my preordered device from UPS today and I ordered the iPhone 8 but I received a Nokia C300. I do not want an Android device at all.. I would accept any kind of iPhone device if the iPhone 8 I ordered isn’t available but absolutely no Android. What can I do? Who do I contact to fix this?

      I love my phone and the service I am getting from your company. How can I keep everything once it ends this month? I do not want to lose anything I have through you cause I’m very happy being with your company and I’m very grateful for the free service as I’m disabled on ssdi and a single mother living on only $500 a month with normal bills and a child I take care of with no help from anyone. So I can not afford a monthly cell phone bill. So I can’t lose what I have with your company and hope once it ends this month I won’t lose anything that I have through your company.   6. Am I right that if we already have Airtalk wireless and also have Lifeline and ACP that we are NOT to transfer out to keep service with Airtalk? Also, if the ACP benefits are ending this month, why does it say that if you transfer out or to another provider, you are at risk of losing your ACP benefits? Aren’t we losing it anyways?

      If you are enrolled in the Lifeline benefit with your plan, there is no need for you to take any action when ACP is discontinued. Your service will continue without interruption.
