Questions you might have

How Do I Maintain My ACP Phone Service When It Winds Down?

What is happening with ACP?

Due to the decrease in funding from Congress, the FCC anticipates that the current funding for the ACP program is projected to run out at the end of April 2024.

I am currently enrolled in ACP, what will happen to my service?

Customers will start to receive notices from AirTalk Wireless about the end of the ACP program. This information will include updates, timing of the end of the program and the impact of loss of the benefit.

Can I still enroll for AirTalk at this time?

Due to the enrollment shut down on February 7th, according to the FCC, AirTalk Wireless will not be accepting new applicants after this date. For more information, please visit the FCC website.

What causes Transfer Out?

  • Benefit is limited to one per household. Meaning that it cannot be used for both home internet and phone service, or multiple people cannot all sign up for the same benefit at the same address.
  • Registering or applying with multiple providers simultaneously may result in your benefits being transferred from one provider to another. It is advisable to register with one provider at a time and wait for a response before attempting to apply with a different provider.
  • If you receive a notice from AirTalk stating your benefit was transferred out and you did not authorize this:
    • Sign the transfer agreement right away to avoid interruption to service
    • Contact the ACP support center and report that your benefit was moved to an unknown provider without your consent.

How To Prevent Future Unauthorized Transfer Out

  • AirTalk Wireless does not employ field agents outside of our store locations. Store Locator (airtalkwireless.com)
  • When presented with an offer for a free phone/service be aware of what you are signing up for and who you are signing up with as this could affect your service with Airtalk
  • If you receive a notice from AirTalk stating your benefit was transferred out and you did not authorize this:
    • Sign the transfer agreement right away to avoid interruption to service
    • Contact the ACP support center and report that your benefit was moved to an unknown provider without your consent.

Risks if you Transfer Out

  • You can lose your ACP benefits
  • We might NOT be able to Transfer you back into AirTalk Wireless
  • You will lose your service benefits (unlimited talk, reduce data monthly allowance)
  • You will lose your mobile phone number and we will not be able to recover it.

      • My service is great and being disabled is bad enough. Having my phone makes me feel safe. Losing this is like taking away my safety and their are so many people who can’t afford expensive and are so grateful for what we have. If there is still some humanity left , don’t take our service away. Why not just, grandfather those already that have the service and do not take anyone new.

You can continue to enjoy our free service as long as you remain eligible for the benefit. To ensure your eligibility, USAC will verify your qualifications annually. If USAC is unable to confirm your eligibility, they will send you a letter requesting recertification.

You can qualify for the ACP program through participation in the same government programs as Lifeline such as SNAP, Medicaid, SSI, Federal Public Housing Assistance, Veterans Survivors Pension Benefits Fund and more. Additionally, you may be eligible if your household income is at or below 200% of the federal poverty level. You must opt-in to participate in this program. I’m currently enrolled in the ACP Program as of this moment. I would absolutely definitely appreciate it if I could possibly please keep my current service active through your Program (AirTalk/AirVoice) simply because I’m not financially stable enough to be able to provide myself with Service such as the Services in being provided with through AirTalk. It would mean more to me than I could ever possibly explain, express, exhibit, and or portray to you in any way in every imaginable aspect believe that because it’s beyond the truth. Anyways, I appreciate you for your time and services and am grateful and thankful seriously. Thank You.

    Sincerely,
    Phillip Patrick Vernon McAuley
